Apparently, I am a horny 16 year old...

On the heels of finishing 50 Shades of Grey, I was looking for another story to lose myself in...  thanks to  Amazon.com's recommendations as to what others have read that also read 50 Shades...

Enter The Black Dagger Brotherhood series

Take a minute to go and ready the summary.  Alittle ridiculous, right?  At first I had no idea what this was going to be about, or how in the hell it even related to 50 Shades, but I ended up downloading before our trip this weekend.  It was a "what the hell" moment - I like vampires, and again... I was hungry for more with no where to go.

Safe to say I found my new obsession (for the next couple of weeks atleast).  The Brotherhood is a series of 11 books - the last of which is scheduled to come out in March 2013.  Each book focuses on one of the brothers - and from the looks of it, who each brother comes to fall in love with peppered with a plotline of the war between the vampires and the lessors.

I am not too sure who the target audience is as I would guess young adult, yet some of the sexual scenes are a bit graphic and I would not recommend to any of my goth teenage cousins - but would recommend to my older cousins/friends that are fans of the supernatural and good old fashioned love stories.  The writing is juvenile at times, and the author tries to make current references to music/movies/etc - which is odd fitting at times, however - I devoured book one over the weekend, and am already 53% through book two.

I am enjoying the plotlines in addition to the pages that delve into the sensuous and make me blush...  These books may be for YA, but they have my imagination running wild - and with 11 books, I have a feeling my huge appetite will be satiated for the time being.
