ME on A Diet!

So, today was our weigh in, and I am down another 3.0lbs - bringing me to a total loss of 17.6lbs since January 15th!!!

I finally got through the book YOU on A Diet by Dr. Oz - after taking the What is my REAL AGE Quiz - I realized it is time to get moving everyday to try to get this age down... Can you guess what my REAL AGE was??

Take the REAL AGE Quiz here: http://cls.realage.com/ct/my-realage/

What I REALLY like about the site as a whole is that it offers SO MUCH information, and guides...FOR FREEE!!!!! You don't even have to have read the book to check out the site, and follow along with suggestions, etc.

In addition to all of the info this site shares - you can also access the Fitness/Workout videos online that you can follow along with at home. Here are a few I have been trying for a few weeks:

WALKING PART 1and 2 - Get Started/Aerobic Walking and Stretches

--Dr. Oz recommends walking EVERYDAY for atleast 30 minutes. Living in Cleveland, we all know this is easier said than done with the weather. These two videos combined give you not only your 30 minutes total, but some aerobic benefits and you accomplish 2 miles by the time you are done!

They also recommend incorporating their 20 minutes stretch workout every other day, you can check it out here:

*I am not thrilled with this guys voice, as he kind-of sounds like a creep-o, but the workout is short, and you feel great afterward! And - what a great excuse to buy a cute yoga mat!

As I noted yesterday, I am also incorporating some awesome arms into my routine (courtesy of T-Tapp, one of my favorite go to workout videos):

Today, I am going to work on a schedule for doing these exercises, as well as making sure I schedule my 30-45 minute walks outside so I don't get bored with the videos. While I would like to say this is what I have been doing faithfully - I am not going to lie. However, I have been sneaking in atleast 2-3 days of this activity, and it is clearly making a difference!

I set my goal for 20 lbs in 12 weeks when I started this competition - not knowing whether this would give me a chance at winning or not. I wanted to be realistic. And so far I have. The eating, I have made a habit. Now it is time to work on the exercise, atleast doing something everyday. I've got to fit it in even if it means waking up early in the morning (if you have any tips on this, send on over, as I can use them!).

Go me! And here's to the last weigh in of this competition in the next week!

CONGRATS! I feel the same, eating a habit, but haven't exercised - just imagine if I would! This weather is inspiring and I plan to get cracking very soon - need to tackle a certain 3 year old's tonisllectomy first :)

Good luck!

That is why I like the vids I posted - 1. They are FREE, 2. They are only a 15-20 minutes. So they are easy to sneak in. Em might even like the walking one - she could do it with you. One her heals up! You can do it!!
