Time to Wipe It Clean...

...my conscience, that is!  Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans encourages True Confessions, and here I am participating right before the time that I think I will need this the most... The Holidays!  Here I go in bullet form...

  • I gave up on Biggest Loser 6.0 in week 11.  I made it to my lowest weight that round, and decided it was OK to eat everything I wanted, be it a good or bad choice.  I ended BL up from my low weight, and I am not happy, but working harder during this holiday season to get back to where I was.
  • I have so much trouble grasping that eating properly (making proper food choices) and exercise MUST go hand in hand to see true body changing results.  I tend to go toward the "I exercise to eat" practice.  I am working daily to get an hour of exercise in, and day by day I plan to make better choices food-wise.
  • I want to spend all of my money on running clothes, new running shoes (from a running store), new workouts, sportsbras and a 24 hour gym membership.  While I find this to be motivating, I am not made of money - and have to start holding to my rewards system (oh, possible next blog post?!)
  • While I know my body is changing, and my lifestyle changes take time - I am upset that the number on the scale is not moving much ( I am still the same weight as I was one year ago - yet I am much more active than I have been in years).  I know the scale should not hold that much weight (ha!) but it is very much psychological.  I'm going to take my measurements, and a new "after" pic so I can visualize the progress/changes that I have made.
Who knows what this week will bring, but I am hopeful that the "mini" round of The Biggest Loser "Get Me Through The Holidays!" 6.5 will help me keep moving, and not gain throughout the holidays.

My goals for the next six weeks include the following:
  • Moderation - just because it is Thanksgiving, does not mean it is OK to stuff myself like... well, a Turkey!
  • Activity - I will do something everyday that includes physical activity. Even on Thanksgiving! Now more than ever it is important to keep moving, and staying active.
  • Positivities and Less Stress - Many times over the holidays, being with all of the family, and trying to juggle all of the plans and happenings, it can get a bit hectic (to say the least). What a better time than Thanksgiving than to focus on the positives in life, and be thankful for them. This will also help in changing your mindset and thus help with a stress free holiday!
What are you doing this holiday season to make sure you do not undue all of your hard work this year?
