Best laid plans... Right?!
So, Tuesday. My goals for the week (I start my weeks on Fridays, as that is when I weigh in) included:
- Moving for 30 minutes daily (atleast) for the entire week. I have to say it is day 5 of this week, and so far, I have been moving. I started my Wii Active 2 3 week program on Friday, and have completed 4 workouts so far and on off days, I got a 3 mile walk done! Check.
- Tracking food daily. With the WW iPhone app and the website at my fingertips, I have not had any trouble keeping track of my food intake daily. I did however eat 20 of my 49 weekly "goodie" points and I so did not want to do that. However, I have gained 18 activity points for the week, so I almost make up for it. Either way, I am feeling good, and have not been ravenous since starting WW.
- Try Wii Just Dance 2 atleast 1 time this week. Sunday AM, I woke up to tend to my
loud and obnoxiouscute and cuddly kitties and decided to get in an hour of booty shakin before J woke up since I would be absolutely mortified if he saw what I looked like shakin it like my life depended on it. Needless to say, it was Fuuuu-uuun! A bit difficult at times, as you are supposed to follow along and mirror the little Wii character's moves. I tend to move the opposite sides than what I am supposed to... have to work on that - but I will definitely be pulling this one out more! Talk about FUN cardio! - No fast food. So far so good. And no, I do not count Hibachi as fast food. I am talking my usual suspects - McD's, BK, Taco Bell, Arby's, Steak and Shake, and the like. If it has a drive through, it is out! This goal was for the duration of this week, to see how I fared. Well, I am in day 5 of the week and already thinking this will be on next weeks list as well.
- Bed by 11:30pm and up by 7:30am. The time change has not helped with either of these, but somehow, I am doing it. Hell, I am even impressed if I get to bed by midnight - but I think 11:30pm is that much better. Had a little tweep motivation this morning to get me going - much appreciated! Again, definitely beneficial to stick to this schedule.
All in all, for day 5 of the first week, I am pretty happy with myself with regards to following my goals and not veering off the path to health!
With all of these good changes going on, I have started feeling alittle off kilter - like I am coming down with something. My neck is starting to feel sore (which could be from exercising) - and the one side of my throat is alittle swollen with very little white spots showing up. I mean for goodness sakes - why is it every time I start a great routine, get in a groove and start making progress - I get sick? The only thing I can come up with is that I am flushing out my bad lymph - thus making me sick. However, by the time I get better - I let the groove go by the wayside, and it's back to zero.
NOT THIS TIME!
I am taking an active stance against this crazy sickness and have begun doubling up my vitamins, and getting alot of sleep. I also worked through it this AM, and have felt alright all day. I won't take it laying down - I will not let this ruin my progress!
How is your week going?
