I Told Ya So!

Wow, it has been a long time since I last wrote! We started round 3.0 of The Rodes Family Biggest Loser Competition back in August. We are at our 4th weigh in tomorrow, and I am 3.6 lbs down so far, for a total loss of 27 lbs since January 15th! However, I began Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred on Monday, and I really think she is going to kick my ass into high gear (=a fat burning maching). It is 30 Days, and 3 levels...

From the website:
"Jillian Michaels, winning trainer on NBC's The Biggest Loser, helps you lose big – up to 20 pounds in 30 days! Her 30 Day Shred DVD includes three 20-minute circuit-training workouts that burn mega calories and build strong, lean muscle. Each level contains a 20-minute workout based on Jillian's exclusive 3-2-1 Strength/Cardio/Ab training circuit: 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, and 1 minute of ab work. There's also a brief warm-up session and a cool down stretch. Follow Jillian's program for 30 days and you will see amazing results! "

I am on day 4, and while the pain has subsided, and I can finally start to sit without wincing - I still cannot get through the entire 21 minutes without taking small breaks. I understand it is only my 4th day, but sometimes I think I should be in better shape than what I realistically am. So my first goal is to get through the entire 21 minutes of Level 1 before moving onto level 2. I know I can do it, it is just a matter of sticking with it, and not burning out. Also - I think the 20 lbs in 30 days is hooey, but we shall see I guess. Just gotta keep at it.

So, it is no secret that I loooove water! (almost as much as I love wine). Well, I found this online last week (and have been meaniing to blog about it at that time, but, well - you see how that went!) and I thought it was a great read. Not only because I drink enough water to drown a small country, but because I am always trying to get my family/husband to understand the importance of drinking enough water. With a study backing up that it also helps aid in weight loss - there is no excuse why we shouldn't be drinking enough water daily!

J has the weekend off this weekend, and tomorrow we are planning on trying out Melt! I have our gameplan ready - we have to leave the house by 10:15am to get there, get a parking spot, and get in line for lunch! All of this writing about exercising, and water have got me hunggrrryyy!! Is it dinner time yet? Haha!

Saturday is going to be somewhat of a lazy day (I hope), and than Sunday we are providing the music and karaoke for our good friends Day Before Labor Day Party! It is always a great party, and I have been looking forward to it all summer! I realize it marks the end of the summer, but I gotta be honest - I am ready for the crisp autumn air, the hectic - yet fun tailgate Sundays! I am ready for this summer to pass. But in the meantime, I plan on having a wonderful weekend with the hubs.

What are you doing this weekend?
