I also love March because there is so much to look forward to! For instance, this weekend, my MIL, SIL, BIL, a couple cousins, the kids, the husband and I are heading to Kalahari Waterpark for two days of watersliding, intertubing, wavepooling and hottubbing! Oh, and did I mention the swim up bar and hot tub?! I can't wait to climb my pastey white body into my swim suit and head for our staycation!
I already mentioned St. Patrick's Day!
And than, Easter is right around the corner. Which means.... SPRING!
In other news, I finished the YOU On A Diet book and have been initiating 30 minute walks into my day. I've been lucky enough that the weather has held out so I can actually walk outside, and get the fresh air. However, on the days that I don't make it out - the www.RealAge.com website provides some free videos that I can use to compensate. I tried the stretching video over the weekend and am still feeling muscles I didn't know I had.
My new problem during the week is that I can't drag my lazy ass out of bed to get up and stretch before I start my day. It is a new goal for me... to rise early enough to get my walk and stretch in before work. Pray for me!
And, I cannot believe tomorrow is already our seventh week of The Rodes Family Biggest Loser competition!!! I am nervous for weigh in, as I had a few weak moments in which I had to pry my face out of the jar of buckeyes in the freezer... But I think I compensated with my walking?! Maybe?!
The important thing is that I am starting to really feel good, and see results. I have lost 12 inches total since we started and I am already down 11 lbs. as of last week. I even fit into my smaller pants last night (one size down!!!). My mantra of slow and steady seems to be working for me, and the more I lose, the better I feel and the more motivated I am. Just gotta keep on keepin' on!
Well, today was a long day, and I am ready for bed. Wish me luck in the AM, and I hope everyone's March is going great!
P.S. I rocked out my black leggings today! Bought a pair that fits me now, and a size smaller pair for future use! Love it!!
