Blog It Out Bit*ch!

So, for the last week, I have been putting off blogging.  Not sure why?

My 30th Birthday was last weekend. The opportunity to reflect on my last 30 years has come and gone.  Which is fine with me, while I can definitely say I wouldn't change any of it for the world, I am going to just keep looking forward.  Onto the next, as my husband would say.  We saw my 20's off in mad style, with alot of food, drinks, and awesome beats pumped out by my favorite DJ - which lead to a night of non-stop dancing, and singing!  To say I am blessed by the turnout at the party is almost an understatement!  Both sides of our families came out to help me celebrate and it was great to see everyone.  I only wish I had had an extra hour to get to visit with them all... Oh yeah, I did!

It is not often a milestone birthday falls on a Saturday, during the fall back time change (=extra hour of bar time! whoop whoop!).  Someone up there had those stars aligned for me this year.

However, they missed one thing... they forgot to have the Browns play away the day after.  You bet your sweet a$$ we took alittle nap after the party, and like the true Browns Fans we are, headed down to our favorite spot by the lake for alittle eatin' and drinkin' before the Browns opened up that can on the Pats!  All I can say after that game is I am so proud to be a Browns Fan!  You could just feel the pride in the air after that game that continued into the beginning of the week.  I'm telling you, perhaps not this year or next... but sometime down the line - my Brownies are Super Bowl bound!  (Hey, I'm 30 and old now, let a girl dream). Go Browns!

Two weeks earlier....

We ended our Biggest Loser Competition 3.0.  I came out of it with a 9lb loss, or 4.74% of my body fat.  Collectively as a group we lost a total of 153.6lbs!  That is an entire person lost, over the course of 12 weeks!  Even more astounding than that is since January 15, 2010, The Biggest Loser Competition has helped my family and close friends lose a total of 407.4lbs!!!!  Something is obviously working here!

While we are taking a break over the holidays, I plan to stick with eating good and walking/exercising consistently to keep off the winter bulge, and the holiday hams!  One of my favorite birthday presents was my
FT40 Heartrate Monitor by Polar from J (yes, he is the best!).  I can wear it while exercising and be sure I am hitting my target HR zones and to make sure I am not working too hard!  It also tells me quantity of calories I am burning which is important when counting calories!  We are also re-instituting Wii nights.  We (Wii, haha!) have so many games that we have yet to play, and we just have to make time for it.  This begins tonight.  Game on!

Whew, it has been a busy one peeps!  Things are finally starting to slow down for us as we head into the holiday season.  And my beautiful niece is going to be coming in for Thanksgiving (with my beautiful sister of course).  Very excited for that, as we have a great jam-packed week full of locally grown food, a new sushi place (which happens to be singlehandedly kept open by yours truly, I am sure), Thanksgiving dinner, day after lunch, my besties 30th birthday, OSU vs michigan Game, and J and I's famous Toga Panini Cleveland Browns Tailgate.  I better start using some of this down time to rest up...

I am 30 now, ya know I just can't run around like I used to...

HA!

P.S.  There were many items I did not mention above, like the awesome Halloween parties we worked/attended as half of the Justice League.  The great night we had on Halloween celebrating Lily's Birthday (or should I say "the boss!").  And also the whole "holy sh*t! the house is only 52 degrees!" scenerio we had last weekend in which we froze our butts off, until a temporary fix came around.  Did I mention we JUST got a new furnace three weeks ago.  Apparently it is an electrical problem.  Something that will just have to wait cause momma has no money!  I chose to leave out the furnace stuff as it is negative, and I really need to focus on the positive.  Life is way too short!
