After my last post, I had to write to say that I am OK. Alittle stressed out, but I am working on that... (vacation in 13 days is getting me through!).
We had a busy busy weekend that started off with a great wine night at The Cleveland Wine Festival. The weather was beautiful, I was with my best friend and.... Oh, yeah, the wine wasn't bad either! We may or may not have ended our night dancing on the bar at Tequila Ranch before a very "tired" girl and her drunken bestie headed back to our hotel for the night.
Saturday and Sunday brought a double header for J and M. Both parties were a success so to speak. (Note to self: pack sunscreen and bug spray for outdoor gigs). We have a nice little break until August, and than we start gearing up again through January. We've been busy updating our music and karaoke selections - any requests, let us know ;-)
This week is jam packed with J's family reunion planning and executing. Found out tonight that the cabin we normally get was not booked (not by our fault, but by a transition of owners who had no record of us whatsoever) so we are partying it up at our cousins barn for the weekend. This is good on two levels - 1. FLUSH TOILETS! and 2. everyone usually brings their own tents, so we will not be sleeping 40 to a room on bunkbeds and cots. Oh, and did I mention FLUSH TOILETS?! Looking forward to family time, and big fun!
Next week, we begin to gear up for the Rodes Family reunion. This year we are headed to Canaan Valley state park in good 'ol West Virginia. While it is not Northbend (read: no air conditioning or microwaves), I think it will be fun to explore a new park, and "rough" it a bit. This is when my vacation officially starts! I am very much looking forward to it! From there, we are heading down to my sissa's house to play for the week. Can't wait!
In other news, I just realized I hit my goal of 20 lbs last week! It took a bit longer than I thought, but I made it - 21.2 to be exact! It is hard to believe I made it this far, and I still have more to go, but the important thing is I now know how to do it! I have 4 months until my 30th birthday, and I think I am more than capable of hitting my goal weight by than. Possibly more... I have been watching "Losing it with Jillian" and if these people can accomplish their goals in two months time, I have to believe I can do it in four! Go me!
Well, it is late, and I must hit the bed, but stay tuned...
