I Miss You My Friend....

I relate so much to music - so much so that sometimes I feel like my life could really be set to a soundtrack.  Music plays such a big part in our lives, it represents happy times, holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and even sad times.  I can hear a song and it can take me back to a fond memory, or a certain period of my life and it is almost like you can relive those moments as that song plays.  Music helps us remember, and music helps us forget...


Music was such a big part of our relationship.  I can't think of a time that we weren't going dancing, driving around listening to the Spice Girls, some good old gangsta rap, and ICP -- or when we were just in your backyard in the pool with the music blaring (even if it was Blues Remedy, or My Big Spoon!)!  I hear those songs now, and I smile!  The fun we had in those days - makes me often think how much I would love to just go back to those times.  Carefree and living life!  


These days there are other songs that make me think of you kiddo (I know, I know... you hated that!).  Songs that make me sad, songs that make me miss you the most.  Songs that make me NOT want to go back 8 years ago... But I still listen to them - because they will forever be the songs that I have in my heart for you.

This last one always gets me.... Music is therapy for the soul.  And everytime I hear these songs, they don't make me forget - they make me remember, and that's not such a bad thing at all.  Because for every sad song I hear, it helps me remember the good times, the great times... You!

 Anyhow - Always know, that no matter what I'm doing, where I am at in life - I think of you every day!  I miss you and love you very much, and I know your up there watching over me.  I love you my sweet, sweet Guardian Angel!
