Week Two!

Week two was a huge success for The Rodes Family Biggest loser Competition! I saw a negative 3.4 lbs slip away, and collectively, we have lost 43 lbs.!!!

I did good this week, and only missed exercising a couple of days due to some crazy not quite a flu-bug, but more than a cold thing... But, back on the wagon tomorrow! I cannot say that I am visually seeing any results as of yet with the exercising, however, I am feeling better in my bones, and overall. This is good for me. And again, I am not trying to do too much too soon, as I have seen that backfire on myself many times. Slow and steady is my mantra for this life change. I didn't get unfit and REALLY curvy overnight, so I know that I am not going to see results overnight.

I am seeing that I am starting to get bored with some of my tried and true recipes - which means that I will have to change it up a bit for the next few weeks. I had some cantaloupe today which was just refreshing... reminds me of a hot summer day sitting out on the porch, or being in WVA. Lovin it! Although, I did almost eat an entire roasted cauliflower head the other night, and now can't seem to even stomach looking at what little I have left over (Hey, it's vegetables, and somewhat low in calories! gotta get my five servings... just not in one sitting i guess!).

Well, I am proud of all of our accomplishments, and I will be taking my week two pic on Sunday to post... In the meantime, feel free to send me some "guilt free" recipes soI can start changing up my lunch and dinner menus.

Have a great weekend!

WOW!!! Awesome job, guys. I picked up the Weight Watchers Momentum cook book and it has a ton in there I can't wait to try. Now, with my schedule, I am not sure when. But see if the library has it. Other than that, I will let you know...
