Can I be Social both Professionally and Personally?

This is EXACTLY what I question each time I post something on not only Twitter, but my Blog.

I was thinking about this yesterday as I was tweeting away all of the random thoughts and interesting facts that popped into my head. Can I interact personally on twitter all the while still presenting professional info?

As the article states above, it is one thing to have two blogs - one for personal, and one for professional information - but who wants to have two accounts for every social media site that is out there? I choose not to blog anonymously - you can find me pretty easy just by googling my name. I only have one blog, one facebook, one myspace and one twitter - I think I am pretty covered as far as social media goes - so I am not sure why I would want to create double work for myself updating double sets of these accounts.

However, What does this mean for those that are strictly business that are following me on twitter? Will you drop me, or are you OK with learning about me personally and interacting?

Since there are no "rules" for social media aside from don't post what you don't want viewed - I imagine that it is ok to mix up the tweets for now.

What do you think? Do you have separate social media accounts for business and personal?
