I have always said that John and I rarely fight. I am not complaining in any way, and yes, we have the occasional bicker back and forth - but that usually ends in one of us cracking a smile followed by a laughing fit.
Again, I am not complaining, I just always wondered why it seems that after dating for 6 years and our first year of marriage we don't have the same arguments that the magazines write about (you know, the one's that happen in every marriage?!).
Or, how I find that I cannot give great advise about fighting between my friends that are couples, as the last relationship I had in which I had to deal with the fighting was almost 10 years ago! And than, I was catching up on my daily reading and I came across this eye opening article...
Why Couples Argue...
...and that is when it hit me...
You can't fight over what you don't have!!!!
Ha! Problem solved!
On the topic of marriage, I found this article as well that I think is pretty good (not only for married people, but couples in general).
8 Things No One Tells You About Marriage
Although, try not to send this to all of your friends that are in relationships, but not married, because than they think you are preaching since you are the only one of them that is happily married and time is going by and we are all getting older... I guess it is like rubbing it in their faces or something... All I was trying to do was help... Seriously...

Were you talking about me and Eric? Ha ha! But, we don't have a lot of time, and we always argue about that! You guys are an anomaly, so enjoy it! But, my constant bickering, although leads to frustration, is also good for stoking the old furnace, if you know what I mean...that passion is played out in many ways!:)
Ha ha! Not referring to anyone - just the whole image that is put in front of you as to what marriage is supposed to be (the stereotypical marriage if you will). It is just funny i guess... And maybe I'm still waiting for that other shoe to drop? Alright, I have to go blow the nose now...
