About Me

I started blogging when I decided that I wanted to take my journaling online.  I enjoy writing about me, stuff I find interesting, fun and mainly my everyday struggles with losing weight and getting healthy.

My weight skyrocketed after got my first desk job out of college and got married.  While I noticed it hit the all time high in April 2009, it wasn't until January of 2010 that I got serious, and decided to grab my husband and get on the road to a healthy lifestyle, and weight. I's like to say we headed down that road and never looked back. BUT... (there's always a but!) I lost sight of my goals, and eventually, my weight skyrocketed and I had to re-focus...

I had to do some soul searching, and in 2014, I decided yet again to take control of my life and start LIVING by making changes that would improve my body, mind and spirit - all while being able to have fun and drink wine ;-) I make progress every single day.

I believe Positive Progress is made through implementing small changes in our lives day after day and sustained through constant support, encouragement, motivation and accountability in a team environment as well as in one on one interaction.

I believe that we can all live the best life we possibly can while maintaining a healthy balance between nutrition and fitness (and wine;-).

It is here that I will share my adventures, my discoveries, the ups and downs and everything that comes along with life.  If you want to know more about me, or my story, just ask.  Otherwise, this really sums it up well...

Join me on my journey towards a healthy balanced life!

I like to eat. I like to sleep. I like to drink wine and might have a slight sushi addiction. I struggle with making myself a better person inside and out, yet I seem to live a pretty good life. I write like I talk and should be better about spell check. This is just me, doing my thing.

Thanks for the comment (and sorry about the tough time - sometimes technology is a pain!). I wanted to sign up for the Towpath 1/2 in October, but realized that I would just not be giving myself enough time to really concentrate on training and improving. I've heard good things about the Columbus Marathon (course and such) so keep me posted! Welcome and God Luck!!
